Making music and performing it ask different things of you. Waveqi is an independently built DAW and DJ environment exploring how both can belong in one session.
The idea
Three views.
One session.
A timeline gives a track its structure. A mixer brings its parts into balance. Decks offer another way to work with those sounds, through playback rather than placement.
Waveqi brings these views around a shared session engine. The aim is to keep the musical material connected as you move between composing, mixing and performing, rather than treating each as a separate project.
Behind the workspace
A history of
the work.
Waveqi records session edits as actions. That history is the foundation for tracing how a track was built and replaying the work through its Rust audio engine.
Scripts and optional AI agents can use the same session commands. They are another way to make edits, not a requirement for making music.
