Development

Built in stages.
Tested in context.

Waveqi is unreleased and in active development. There is no public download or announced release date. The screenshots show the development build, not a finished product.

Current focus

From features to workflows.

Work is focused on live instrument latency and sound continuity, large-session playback and recording, deeper editing and export, and integrated deck and controller workflows.

Further implementation is underway. New code is not treated as validated until the connected workflow has been checked.

Validation so far

Evidence, with limits.

Automated checks have passed for specific engine, editing, replay and plugin-fixture paths on macOS ARM64. Browser checks have exercised interface behavior with simulated engine responses, not complete real-engine music-making workflows.

Those checks do not validate every subsequent change. Full real-engine browser workflows, native-window use, cross-platform behavior, physical audio-device timing and long-session reliability still need validation.

Deterministic rendering evidence applies to named tested paths under controlled conditions. It is not a guarantee that arbitrary plugins or all live and offline renders behave identically.

Practical limitations

Before relying on it.

  • Recording and live playing: low-latency monitoring, physical input timing and continuity during edits remain active work.
  • Plugins and export: format support is not universal compatibility. Some routing, freeze and release-tail combinations remain unsupported.
  • Performance: private headphone cueing needs four-channel output. Real-device isolation, controller feel and long-set stability are not yet verified.
  • Analysis and separation: real-music key accuracy and local separation-model operation still need validation.
  • Platforms: the recorded macOS checks are not a Windows or Linux readiness claim.

The goal is a connected environment for making music and performing it, not a claim of finished parity with established tools.
